A JAFOC Projects in partnership with the Laboratory of Optics and Experimental Mechanics of the Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering of the University of Porto, will develop the IDT-FADEST project, with the objective of creating Research and Technological Development competencies in fatigue of structures and structural details.
This project aims to acquire knowledge in the area of fatigue, with a view to a better understanding of this phenomenon that occurs in existing structures that require rehabilitation, and in this sense, the transfer of knowledge is a high priority for designers (Civil and Mechanical Engineers) and the companies that carry out the maintenance and conservation of this type of infrastructure.
The project, which will start in March and last for 12 months, was approved at the shelters of the R & D Valleys (support for projects promoted under Portugal 2020 aimed at acquiring consultancy services in research and development, as well as technology transfer services).
